Under the aegis of the Department of Commerce, thirty-six students of Class XI Commerce undertook an educational industrial visit to the Poori Maitree Hathkargha Center, Badlya on July 24, 2025. The trip offered students a first-hand experience of traditional handloom weaving, as they interacted with artisans to understand how social entrepreneurship and sustainable practices support rural livelihoods. The visit highlighted the role of rural entrepreneurship and resource allocation in promoting indigenous industries and inclusive economic growth. Aligned with the National Curriculum Framework, the trip provided students practical insights into ethical production and the socio-economic impact of handicrafts, bridging classroom learning with real-world commerce.
