The Social Science Department conducted two enriching workshops for students in August 2025 to promote experiential learning and cultural awareness among students.
On August 20, a seal making workshop was organized for Grades VI to XII. Twenty-five students participated and learned about the significance of Harappan seals, which were used in trade, identification, and administrative activities during the Indus Valley Civilization. They explored symbolic designs and inscriptions, and created their own replicas using clay.
On August 30, a Gudri Making workshop was held for students of Grades IX to XII under the guidance of Ms. Sushila Devi, a Cultural Traditional Practitioner from Pushkar. Using old fabrics such as bedsheets, sarees, and other textiles, twenty-five students learned the traditional art of quilting and collaboratively created a gudri—a handmade quilt—promoting sustainability and the creative reuse of household textiles.
