Our school celebrated its 42nd Foundation Day on July 4, 2026, with great enthusiasm and pride. Centred on the theme ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ The World is One Family,’ the event underscored the ideals of unity, mutual respect, and shared responsibility.
The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the Director, the Principal, and the Secretary of St. Stephen’s School Society, Ajmer, before the portraits of our revered founders, Shri Gilroy Martins and Dr. (Mrs.) Deepa Martins, followed by the school prayer.
A vibrant cultural programme paid tribute to the founders’ vision through a heartfelt presentation and a melodious Hindi song. The English skit, The World We Forgot, conveyed the importance of empathy, understanding, and cooperation in fostering a harmonious society. A vibrant group dance celebrated the spirit of unity in diversity. The gracious presence of parents added warmth to the occasion.
A major highlight was the Investiture Ceremony, during which the newly elected Student Officials were formally entrusted with their responsibilities. The Director, the Principal, the Vice-Principal, and the Academic Lead conferred the badges of office, while the Principal and the Vice-Principal administered the oath to the office-bearers of the Primary and Secondary Sections respectively, inspiring them to lead with sincerity, integrity, and dedication.
Addressing the gathering, Ms. Shefali Martins, the institution’s first student, explained the significance of the school prayer, emphasising its reflection of multiple faiths and its embodiment of equity, diversity, and inclusion. The Principal paid tribute to the founders’ invaluable contribution and encouraged students to uphold their ideals while discharging their duties with commitment. The Director reflected on the school’s humble beginnings and remarkable growth, urging students to honour the founders’ legacy through their actions.
The School Captain, Swapnil Goyal, delivered the Vote of Commitment, reaffirming the Student Leadership Team’s resolve to uphold the school’s core values and lead with responsibility, loyalty, integrity, and dedication.
Class-level activities further reinforced the theme by encouraging students to embrace the ideal of ‘One World, One Family’ through meaningful participation and collaboration.
The celebration honoured the school’s rich legacy while reaffirming its commitment to nurturing global citizenship, unity, and shared values among its students.
